Bromford Industries on the BBC - Vince Cable visit

Bromford Industries was featured on BBC News at 10.00 during the visit of Rt. Hon. Vince Cable, Business Secretary and John Cridland, CBI Director General, to Bromford Industries Birmingham facility.

The news feature discussed Air Passenger Duty damaging the UK economy and thus the "Growth Strategy" for onward investment in hi-tech aerospace manufacturing in the UK.

Mike Smith CEO Bromford Industries hosted the occasion and conducted a facility tour demonstrating the company's extensive capabilities in the manufacture of performance critical parts and assemblies for the commercial and military aerospace, landing gear, power generation and nuclear markets.

Over recent years Bromford Industries has invested heavily in new plant and equipment and is committed to £2.5m Capital investment in 2012 to service the company's drive towards increased competitiveness, quality and customer value.

Mr. Cable was introduced to the future generation of Bromford's expertise with a short address to the company's apprentices underlining the importance which Bromford places on developing the highest levels of skills in young people.
